Transform
Modernisation is about being deliberate about where each workload should live. Performance, cost, control and compliance decide the platform.
Lift and shift, replatform and repatriation are tools, not strategies.
Some businesses are moving to cloud. Some are all-in and watching the bill outrun the plan. Others are bringing workloads back. All three can be right.
Discuss where your workloads fit →CLOUD
Where variable demand, reach and managed services create real value.
HYBRID
Blend cloud and owned platforms around technical and commercial fit.
ON-PREMISES
When performance, data gravity, cost or compliance makes ownership the better choice.
While one part moves, Run keeps everything trading. Each migration follows an agreed plan from discovery through handover.
01
We map the environment and identify what each workload depends on. For each workload, we document the recommended approach and expected cost. We identify ageing platforms early, before lost vendor support or reliability problems limit your options.
02
We agree the target architecture and landing zones, then define migration waves and the criteria for proceeding or rolling back. Security requirements shape the design before migration begins.
03
The first migration wave tests the approach and cost estimate before the remaining workloads move.
04
Rehearse the cutover and reconcile data line by line, keeping the business trading throughout.
05
Elevated support continues until the platform meets the agreed criteria for normal operation.
06
Hand over to Run, adjust capacity and licences to actual demand, and retire the old platform.

Why we build carefully
The team that migrates the platform is the team that runs it afterwards. Any shortcut in the build is ours to deal with later. So there are no shortcuts.
That discipline rebuilt a national retailer’s platform in place (about ten times ERP performance and half the data-centre power) while 650 stores kept trading.
Untracked changes and unresolved decisions increase migration risk. DC9 manages the programme from design through cutover, with named owners resolving blockers and keeping each move on track.
MIGRATION PLAN
One working plan records each workload, its dependencies, who owns it and when decisions are needed. We update it as the migration changes.
CUTOVER & VALIDATION
Every move has a defined cutover, rollback path and validation criteria. We confirm the workload is stable and operating as intended before signing off the change.
COMMERCIAL OUTCOME
We track costs, licensing and operating impact against the original business case, so you can see whether the investment is delivering.
Before you commit, we model migration costs and ongoing running costs so you can compare where each workload should live.
INFRASTRUCTURE MODERNISATION
DC9 plans workload placement, migration and cutover around your business, with clear ownership, rollback paths and validation before transition into Run.
